2. Automatic Refunds (Service Failures)

You will receive an automatic full credit refund if any of the following occur:

  • Technical Failure: Our system fails to deliver your translated video due to server errors, processing failures, or other technical issues on our end
  • Processing Errors: The translation process encounters an unrecoverable error that prevents completion
  • Content Moderation Rejection: Your content is rejected by our automated content moderation system (credits are returned immediately)
  • System Downtime: Extended system outages that prevent you from accessing your completed translations within the retention period

No action required: These refunds are processed automatically and credits will be restored to your account within minutes.

3. Subscription Refunds

3.1 First-Time Subscriber Guarantee

If you are a first-time subscriber and are not satisfied with our service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase, provided:

  • You have not used more than 50% of your monthly credit allocation
  • This is your first subscription with DubDeal (not a renewal or upgrade)
  • You submit your refund request within 7 days of the initial charge

3.2 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access to subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time in the current billing period
  • Monthly credits allocated for that period remain available until the period ends
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
  • One-time purchase credits (if any) remain available after cancellation

3.3 Renewal Refunds

Automatic renewal charges are generally non-refundable. However, if you were charged for a renewal and:

  • You attempted to cancel before the renewal date but experienced technical issues
  • You were charged after requesting cancellation but before it was processed
  • You have not used any credits from the renewed period

Please contact us within 48 hours of the charge, and we will review your request.

4. One-Time Purchase Refunds

One-time credit package purchases are generally non-refundable once credits have been added to your account. This is because:

  • Credits are delivered immediately and can be used instantly
  • One-time purchase credits do not expire as long as your account remains active
  • The nature of digital goods makes them difficult to "return"

4.1 Exceptions

We may consider refunds for one-time purchases in the following situations:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same purchase
  • Failed Delivery: If credits were not properly added to your account after payment
  • Immediate Request: If you request a refund within 24 hours of purchase and have not used any of the purchased credits
  • Technical Issues: Persistent technical problems that prevent you from using purchased credits, verified by our support team

5. Quality Disputes

We strive to deliver high-quality translations. If you believe the translation quality significantly differs from what was reasonably expected, you may request a review within 14 days of receiving your translated video.

5.1 What Constitutes a Valid Quality Dispute

  • Significant translation errors that change the meaning of content
  • Audio/video sync issues that significantly impact viewing experience
  • Missing substantial portions of the translation
  • Wrong target language delivered

5.2 What Is NOT Covered

  • Minor translation nuances or stylistic preferences
  • Issues caused by poor quality source video/audio
  • Limitations inherent to AI translation technology (see our Terms of Service)
  • Content that was unclear or ambiguous in the original video

5.3 Resolution Options

After reviewing your quality dispute, we may offer:

  • A free re-translation with adjusted settings
  • Partial credit refund based on the severity of the issue
  • Full credit refund in cases of significant service failure
  • Account credit for future use

7. Refund Processing

7.1 Response Time

We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days. Complex cases requiring investigation may take up to 10 business days.

7.2 Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed using your original payment method:

Refunds are processed in the original currency of purchase. If exchange rates have changed since your purchase, the refunded amount in your local currency may differ from the original amount charged. DubDeal is not responsible for exchange rate differences.

  • Promotional or bonus credits received for free
  • Affiliate commission payments
  • Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
  • Requests made after the applicable refund window has expired
  • Dissatisfaction due to factors outside our control (e.g., poor source video quality)

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and quickly.

If you initiate a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us:

  • Your account may be suspended pending investigation
  • Additional fees may apply if the chargeback is found to be unwarranted
  • We will provide transaction records and usage data to dispute fraudulent chargebacks
